JAMES ROBERT PARK On January 8, 2001, James Robert Park passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on the Palliative Care Unit. Survived by his loving wife Lucinda (Lu) (married March 22, 1951) Son Jim (Cyndy) daughter Cindy (Dave) and grandchildren; Chris (Melissa), Kyle, Kim, Taylor and Stephanie; sisters, Joan (Dick), Phyllis (Denis), brother-in-law Bill (Cis), sisters-in-law; Jean Jurek and Sheila Barker and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by brothers-in-law Tom Barker and Joe Jurek. Born November 26, 1930 in Southport, England, Jim immigrated to Canada in 1953. Upon arrival in Winnipeg, he was a journeyman plumber. Prior to retirement Jim worked at Unicity Mall as Maintenance Supervisor. The family would like to thank the nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Unit for their special care and support during this very difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jims memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, Palliative Care Unit, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6.
